Zico’s “Any Song” is proving to be an unstoppable force for the early part of 2020!
On March 18, 2020, “Any Song” scored it’s seventh number one on Gaon’s Weekly Digital Chart. On the Gaon Chart for March 8-14, the song also earned its second Weekly Streaming Chart number one. Prior to the song’s seventh number one, it spent five consecutive weeks on the top of the chart starting January 12, 2020, then an additional two weeks at number one. With it’s seven number one Gaon chart numbers ones, it now holds the record for most number ones throughout the Gaon Chart’s ten-year history.
Previously, iKON’s “Love Scenario” held the record with six number ones. Before iKON’s record, PSY’s “Gangnam Style” and IU’s “Good Day” tied with five number ones.
Over on the Melon Chart, “Any Song” earned its eighth number one this past week. While it is the fifth song to do so in the chart’s history, “Any Song” is the first song since SNSD’s “Gee” 11 years ago to hit this mark!
Previous songs with eight number ones on the Melon Chart include BIGBANG’s “Last Farewell” (2007), Kim Jung-Kook’s “Loveable” (2005), and Yoon Do-Hyun’s “It Must Have Been Love” (2005).
Congratulations to Zico for his records!
