Vietnamese women are renowned for their beauty and their poise and many of their beauty tips and tricks have been passed down, not just for generations, but for thousands of years. Vietnamese women also take their beauty routines very seriously. They tend to take very good care of their skin so that they can achieve their natural looking beauty and their flawless skin without using a lot of make up. If you want to find out how do they do that please go through these beauty secrets following.
1. Never forget to wash their faces twice everyday.
You might think this is not a secret at all becasue everyone knows about it. However, if you live in Vietnam where the weather is totally hot and humid in the summer which can make your skin very oily and easy to get acnes or you can get super dry in the winter which causes so much more problem with your skin, you might want to find yourself a facial cleanser that help you avoid all the bad issues that I’ve just mentioned.
There are hundreds of facial cleansers in Vietnam but people are interested in using big brand names like Pond’s, Cetaphil,Clean&clear,ceraVe,innisfree..etc as they believe that those product are safer for them to use and they work good on their skin. So secret #1: Find yourself a good facial cleanser and wash your face twice in the morning and at night before bed
2. Steam your face 2-3 times/ week.
You can totally do this at home with a hot bowl of water with some essential oils or some herbs with a big towel cover over your head like this:
1, It cleanses your pores. Clogged pores are one of the key contributing factors to acne breakouts, and can lead to infection and severe skin irritation. Whether you suffer from acne or have blemish-free skin, one of the best ways to cleanse facial pores is to steam your face. The warm steam causes your face to sweat, which opens the pores and helps soften the surface layer of dead skin cells, releasing dirt and debris that could be the cause of breakouts and would otherwise stay trapped. Our skin naturally produces sebum that protects and lubricates skin, but when it becomes trapped in a follicle, a breakout can occur. One such breakout is in the form of a blackhead. When steam is applied to the face, it softens blackhead plugs, gently releasing them from follicular openings. While this process can help clear up mild acne, those who suffer from severe acne or skin conditions like rosacea should consult a doctor before trying an at home facial steam.Yes, it’s still not a secret but let me tell you why Vietnamese women enjoy steam their face 2-3 times/ week.
2, It makes your skin more receptive to other skincare treatments. Once your pores have opened and the dirt and debris have been eliminated, your clean pores can now better absorb products you might use, such as a face mask or serum.
3, It enhances circulation. Without getting too scientific, steaming your face triggers a thermoregulating response in which blood vessels in the skin dilate so more blood can flow to the skin, which delivers oxygen and nutrients to the tissue. This is what gives tired, dull skin that rosy, dewy post-steam glow.
4, It helps removes toxins. When you sweat in the steam room or take a hot detoxifying bath, your body perspires and releases toxins. Your face is no different, so facial steaming is a great way to release toxins that could be causing imbalances in your skin.
5 It promotes relaxation. Steam has a calming effect on the system, and if you add essential oils or herbs to the water, you now have a soothing, healing aromatherapy session in an at home facial steam
Good news is they now have a small facial steamer that you can find anywhere especially online. The one you are looking at now is one of them. Does that look fun to you? If yes, why not get one and try it at home now to make some changes to your facial skin!
3. Be a good friend with sunscreen!
Sunscreen protects your skin from the sun’s ultraviolet, or UV, rays. It also help reduces risk in skin cancer and to reduce the damage of the sun to your skin. We all know that sunscreen is not only used when it’s sunny outside but you should use it almost everyday. Vietnamese women don’t like the sun. What a big different with western women, right? The same with facial cleansers, we have thousands of different kind of sunscreen here in Vietnam. Korean or Japanese sunscreen are very popular in here and to be honest Vietnamese women love their product when it comes to sunscreen. You can see these are the products that they use.
Oh, I did mention that Vietnamese women don’t like the sun, right? But hang on,let’s look at these photos
You might be asking these quetions like :Who are they? Are they ninja? Is muslim the main religion here?
The answer for all those questions is no… They are just trying to avoid the sun!! This sounds and looks funny but it actually works for Vietnamese women. They think the best way to eliminate the damage from the sun is staying away from it or “hide” from it. Simple as that! So that’s the secret #3!
4. Use face masks!
Face masks are a wonderful way to treat your skin to get deep cleansed, refreshed, soothed, exfoliated.
Get radiant results with masks made with fresh fruit, vegetables, butters, clays and the finest essential oils. Each ingredient is specially chosen for its effect, so no matter what skin you’re in, there’s a mask for that.
In Vietnam, women are using masks that are made from very natural and easy to find ingredients like turmeric powder, honey, yogurt, green tea, oatmeal..etc
They believe that using ingredients from mother nature will bring them the best natuaral look and that the way it should be.
5. Last but not least: Using moisturizer and massage your skin everyday.
Moisturizer is key to having healthy-looking, supple skin. It hydrates and helps your skin’s moisture barrier, which can leave you with a glowing complexion. You should be applying moisturizer after cleansing twice a day. However just quickly spreading moisturizer all over your face may not be the most efficient way to apply your product. In fact, a great way to make your skin look beautiful is by massaging moisturizer into your skin. This activates your facial muscles and circulation and can help your skin look brighter and more taught.
These are all the secrets of Vietnamese women for having a natural, healthy-looking skin. They are very easy to do but if you follow their secrets, you will have as beautiful skin as they do so why not give them a try!

That’s kind of a lie, not all Vietnamese women do that. It may vary from region to region. In rural areas/countryside or sea port areas (1-3 hours from the nearest city) some women don’t, because not all are rich and some make money selling on the streets. My aunt does nothing about skincare, maybe just wash her face in the morning with water and sets off selling.
Hello, nice text….it is describing essentially cities beauty tips. The pollution in the cities is attacking skin so it’s very important to take care of it. Vietnamese has a very sensitive skin and can have many reactions …. It’s not true when you say that vietnamese women don’t like the sun…it’s once again, because sun in Vietnam, especially in the south, is very agressive….and it can cause damages on Vietnamese skin (not only vietnamese skin). That’s why women and men wear long sleeves and other protections…and also sun screen.
