Newjeans’ acceptance speech, while receiving the Frontier Prize award at the E Daily Culture Awards, reassured Bunnies that the group is still growing stronger.
On October 25, Newjeans group was awarded the ‘Frontier Prize’ for showcasing a pioneering spirit and endeavors of pushing the limits.
A light moment occurred when presenters announced that Minji would give the acceptance speech but the group had planned for Hyein to do it. In laughter, Minji clarified that Hyein was the speaker of the day and handed over the mic. In a moment of confusion, Hyein went on to give the speech only to realize they had not yet done a group greeting. Amid the embarrassment, as other members and the crowd wallowed in laughter, Hyein guided the embers into offering an official group greeting.
Newjeans’ recognition in the entertainment industry comes amidst the group’s challenges connected to ADOR’s Min Hee Jin and HYBE. Hyein thanked the Bunnies for supporting them all through. Despite the raging emotions and some tearful breakdowns, Hyein managed to get through the acceptance speech, thanks to her fellow members.
