He Jie (also known as Angel He) is a chinese mandopop singer, who became famous after the singing competition Super Girl, in 2005, placing in the 4th place. He Jie is signed under the record label, Huayei Media. As of right now, the singer has a total of five studio-albuns, one EP and a few singles.
Due to her interest in music, she auditioned for the Super Girl show, which is one of the most viewed music shows in China. After the TV show, He Jie released the cover album, ”Hands”, in September 2005, which contained mainly her own redenditions of old famous chinese hits. In the spring of 2006, the singer released her first single, ”You Must Be Happy”. She then released her first major label studio-album, ”Luminary”, in August of the same year, which was launched under the record label, EE Media. The CD included 11 original tracks except ”You Must Be Happy”.
After a label change, He Jie dropped, one year later, her second single, ”Flower’s Blossom”, in January 2007, through Avex Tawain. A sophomore album followed after, ”Cleary Not An ANGEL” was out in November of the same year. Just like her debut studio-album, her second one also featured 11 songs, including her duet cover with Wei Chen of the hit, ”Boys”, from the Italian singer/songwriter Sabrina Salerno. The album sold considerable well.
After three long years without activities in her country, He Jie made a comeback with her brand new CD, ”Want To Go Back He Jie”, in September 2010. The album was promoted by the single, ”KO ME”, which was released in the summer of that year. For this album, the singer changed her record label again, she was now signed under Huayei Media, which is still releasing her work still today. One year after, she dropped her first EP, ”Lack of Love”, in October. The EP was introduced by the single, ”How I Miss You”, which was out in July of that year.
Her lastest album was called ”Brave Love” and could be bought in stores from November of 2012. The album contained 10 new tracks for fans to enjoy. Unfortunatly, there are no proper confirmations of a comeback by the singer right now.
