1ST Annual KCRUSH America “Wonders of Art” Showcase
KCRUSH America Magazine is looking for artists for our first ever “Wonders of Art” online art gallery showcase open to artists from around the world ages 14 and older are invited to submit their artwork. All submitted artwork must be original to the artist. All works submitted must be original in design and concept. Artwork must not be copied, in part or wholly, from any published or copyrighted work. Please do not submit images which would be inappropriate for general audiences. Official submission categories are acrylic, watercolor, oil, drawing, sculpture, pottery, fun handmade plushy, fiber art, jewelry, furniture, origami, fan art and three-dimensional. There will be four professional art jurors, social media voting and other special guests judging the artwork. As the artwork is placed online, the jurors will be able to pay careful attention to the details of each entry. All decisions are final.
Invitations will be sent to an extensive mailing list of galleries, curators, dealers, patrons, etc., to view your artwork online.

July 10, 2016 at 11:59 p.m. CST – Submissions Close (Deadline)
July 24, & 25, 2016 – Showcase begins (“Online Worldwide Opening Ceremony”)
July 30 to September 30, 2016 – Featured Showcase (Online)
The Prizes will be distributed as follows:
Best in Show
- $500 cash award
- New album of your favorite music group/artist
- Q&A Interview featured on KCrush America Magazine’s gallery website
- Social media promotion of artwork and accompanying interview
- Two tickets to your favorite artist’s local concert (transportation not included)
- Potential to place your artwork on the walls of a gallery during a group art exhibit to be announced.
Best in Show First Runner-Up
- $250 cash award
- New album of your favorite music group/artist
- Q&A Interview featured on KCrush America Magazine’s gallery website
- Social media promotion of artwork and accompanying interview
Best in Show Second Runner-Up
- $75 cash award
- New album of your favorite music group/artist
Best in Show Third Runner-Up
- $50 cash award

- $25 cash award
- $10 iTunes Gift Card

ELIGIBILITY: Open to International and U.S. resident artists at least 14 years old.
Entry Requirements: All entries must be submitted electronically. (See below for link to online submission form.) Judging will be done entirely from JPEGs. No other formats will be accepted. This includes no PowerPoint Presentations or any other imaging software. JPEGs must be 72 dpi (preferably 300 dpi for press releases), and at least 600 pixels but not great than 1200 pixels in either direction. Maximum file size for any one image is 1MB.
Selection and Awards
- Selections will be made by KCRUSH America Magazine Owner and Founder, Denise Coley and great Team, along with and/or invited guest jurors who are prominent in the art world, including other artists and art professionals.
- Artwork will be judged based on the following criteria: creativity, originality, interpretation, quality, overall design, demonstration of artistic ability, and usage of your chosen medium.
- All selected images will appear in our online exhibition for approximately one month. Then it will be archived on the site for a minimum of 2 years.
- Cash awards will be given, at KCRUSH America Magazine’s discretion.
- The Best in Show winners will be the “Featured Artists” on the website for the duration of the exhibition. The Best in Show winners will also qualify for participation in other, to be announced shows.
- Award winners and every artist whose artwork is chosen for that month’s art exhibition will be notified by email prior to the opening of the online exhibition.
- Cash awards will be paid through Paypal or by a check mailed to the winner (U.S.A. only) within 15 days of the notification of winning.

ENTRY FEE:
Free for first (1) item, $15 for each additional item with a maximum of eight (8) per individual artist.
APPLICATION:
Artists are asked to complete an online application/entry form and submit a non-refundable fee of $15 each additional item after the first free entry/item. Payment may be made online by PayPal or credit card immediately following submission of form and images.
Artist Statement/Bio
It is recommended, though not required, that the artist provide a short Bio or Artist Statement (500 Word Limit), written in the third person. This is your opportunity to tell us a little bit about yourself, including your artistic training, inspiration, media choice, or anything that you might like people to know about you and your art. If you have a website, please include your website URL and/or email address. Please note that any bios that exceed the word limit will be edited.
SALES:
KCrush America’s Wonders of Art offers you the chance to offer your artwork for sale. The pricing, link to your “for sale” website, name and description of each item must be included with your completed entry. Should you do not wish to sell any of your artwork, place NFS (“not for sale”) within the file name, i.e., Jones_Sue_Birds_NFS.jpg. KCRUSH America Magazine will not require or demand any commission from the sale of any of your artwork.
Email Subscription
By submitting artwork to KCrush America’s Wonders of Art, the Artists understand and agree that they are “opting in” and will be placed on our email list and will receive future email announcements and email notices from us. If you want to be removed from this email list, please click the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any email and we will remove you immediately from all future emails.
POLICIES:
Artists who submit artwork to KCRUSH America’s Wonders of Art Showcase presented by KCRUSH America Magazine should be familiar with the following policies. Also, please be aware that KCRUSH America Magazine’s Wonders of Art Showcase is exclusively an online gallery at this time.
- Submissions for exhibitions received after the posted deadline will not be considered.
- In the case of a submission for which the entry form, entry fee, and images are received separately, every attempt will be made to match the items to the correct artist. If it is not possible to match all items to an artist, the artist’s images will not be considered and he or she will forfeit the extra items fee.
- Once the submission deadline has been reached, no image substitutions will be made and no changes in submissions or the price of a work submitted to be sold will be permitted.
- Only artists 14 years of age or older may submit entries to juried exhibitions.
- Depending on the volume of entries, no more than 200 domestic and international artists will be allowed to participate with a maximum of eight (8) items each.
- All art must be the creation of the artist.
- Do not submit images which would be inappropriate for general audiences.
- Should you not want to sell any of your artwork, place NFS (“not for sale”) within the file name, i.e. 01_Jones_Sue_Birds_NFS_1.jpg.
- KCRUSH America Magazine will not require or demand any commission from the sale of any of your artwork.
- All art must be the creation of the artist.
- Files submitted should be labeled LAST Name_FIRST Name_Brief name of artwork. The number that corresponds with that work’s placement on the Entry Form (1,2,3, etc.) for example: i.e., Jones_Sue_Birds_1.jpg
- Files which are mislabeled or lack the artist’s name will, potentially “NOT” be viewed by the jurors.
- All decisions regarding art selected for exhibitions are final.
- All work must remain on exhibit throughout the entire duration of the exhibition. No early withdrawals will be permitted.
- KCRUSH America Magazine reserves the right to cancel an exhibition, extend deadlines, or change exhibition dates.
- By submitting work to be considered for the exhibition, artists grant KCRUSH America Magazine the right to use their image(s) for the purpose of marketing. Images may appear on the KCRUSH America Magazine’s Gallery website on social network sites used by the “Gallery” and to potentially advertise exhibitions in its publication, KCRUSH America Magazine.
- By submitting work to be considered for the exhibition, artists grant KCRUSH America Magazine a non-exclusive perpetual license to reproduce the images of your artwork on our website, in the marketing of the art competitions, including but not limited to, the gallery’s social media network outlets. Artwork will not be used for any other purpose.
- The artist agrees that KCRUSH America Magazine can maintain an archive of the chosen artwork for posterity as part of an historical site record of past exhibitions. This archive will be available only on the KCRUSH America Magazine website(s). KCRUSH America Magazine will provide credit for each image with their Artist Name, Title and the Artist Email/Website, if applicable. The artist shall retain all copyrights of any images that are submitted to KCRUSH America Magazine.
- No resale or exchange of images will occur by KCRUSH America Magazine and no images may be copied or downloaded from this website. KCRUSH America Magazine does not claim ownership of the artwork you submit for consideration. All images attached to this website are the property of the respective artist and the artist retains the sole copyright and all other applicable rights to said images.
- KCRUSH America Magazine promises to run this showcase contest fairly, ethically, and with integrity.
